Ottawa, Cananda (July 18, 2013): "New Democrats are expressing concern over the safety of Punjab Police sub inspector Surjit Singh following allegations of police participation in forced disappearances in the Punjab. Surjit Singh recently revealed that as a member of the Punjab Police, he participated in the murders of 83 Sikh youth on the orders of his superiors.
