Thousands gathered at village Waraich to attend Ardas Samagam; Dera Radha Swami Beas controversy

Beas/Rayya, Punjab (September 02, 2012): More than a thousand Sikhs gathered to attend Ardas samagam at Village Waraich near Beas where Dera Radha Swami management had destroyed the Gurudwara Baba Jeevan Singh to fulfil their ominous desire of expansion of dera.

Ajay Devgn to offer clarifications to SGPC panel regarding “Son of Sardar” on Sept. 03

Amritsar/Punjab (September 02, 2012): News reports have appeared in certain dailies that Bollywood actors and producer Ajay Devgan would be visiting Punjab on September 03, 2012 offer their clarification about certain objections raised by Sikh personalities and organizations regarding upcoming Hindi Movie ‘Son of Sardar’ in which Ajay Devgan is playing lead Character of a Sikh. There are reports that Ajay Devgn would be accompanied by another Hindi film actor Sanjay Dutt and Director Ashwin Dheer.

Badal’s reply to US Court: Defendent’s motion to dismiss for failure to effective service; or in the alternative for an addition 90 days to file a responsive pleading

Wisconsin (September 02, 2012): Responding to the US Court Summons, Parkash Singh Badal, CM State of Punjab through its attorneys sought additional 90 days to defend the charges of commanding and shielding the officers responsible for custodial torture and extra judicial killings of Sikhs.

Double Jeopardy?: Indian court want trial against 5 Dal Khalsa men for 1981 plane hijacking case

Ludhiana (September 02, 2012): A Delhi based Indian Court is reported to have issued “non-bailable” warrants against five Sikhs who were involved in hijacking an Air India plane to Pakistan in 1981. It is notable that only two of the five persons currently reside in India.
