SGPC Elections 2011: Non-keshdharis attempting to vote would be arrested, Election Cheif

Chandigarh (August 28, 2011): Chief Commissioner of Gurdwara Elections, Justice H S Brar (retd), is reported to have that non-keshdharis attempting to vote in the SGPC elections will be arrested.

SGPC Elections 2011: Voters to carry any of listed cards to prove identity

Chandigarh (August 28, 2011): It is learnt that the Chief Commissioner Gurudwara Elections has issued orders directing the voters to establish their identity at the Polling stations at the time of poll for the SGPC Election to be held on 18 September, 2011 by producing the identity cards issued them under the authority of Election Commission of India.

Chandigarh (August 26, 2011): As per media reports the Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal, has sought personal intervention of Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, in securing early pardon of Devender Pal Singh Bhullar from the death sentence so that the sentiments and feelings of the entire Sikh community world wide finds solace, peace and satisfaction.
