Patiala Incident: Punjab Ministers Seek FIR Against MLA Simarjeet Singh Bains

Punjab Ministers have sought FIR against Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) MLA Simarjeet Singh Bains. A written release by Punjab government says that "a group of Punjab cabinet ministers on Monday demanded registration of an FIR against him for inciting communal disharmony".

An East Punjab cabinet minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has maintained that by 1st of October, the Union Government would make public the process for the devotees with regard to ‘Darshan’ of Sri Kartarpur Sahib and conceding the demand of the Punjab Government the information concerning the same would be available in Punjabi on the web portal.

Punjab jails minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa yesterday suspended Patiala central jail superintendent Jaspal Singh for giving special treatment to suspended inspector general (IG) Paramraj Singh Umranangal who is in judicial custody after his arrest in a case related to Saka Behbal Kalan 2015.
