The row over Gippy Grewal's new song video "Zaalam" has deepened as the Punjab police has initiated "investigation" in this matter. Some of the leaders of the Congress party were demanding registration of a police case against Gippy Grewal for allegedly 'glorifying' militancy.

There are reports that a new Punjabi song video "Zaalam" by Punjabi singer cum actor Gippy Grewal has eventually been banned in India, as the Censor Board has refused to clear it for telecast in Indian subcontinent. However, the song is available on YouTube and other sites on internet.

Punjabi singer-turned actor Gippy Grewal's new video song "Zaalim" received much appreciation over social media, in particular from various Sikh audience but at the same time the song video and the singer is struck by a controversy with leaders of the Congress party demanding the registration of a case against him for allegedly glorifying "militancy".
