Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday appointed party leader Jassi Jasraj as the vice president of state wing and general secretary campaign committee. He is also given the responsibility of spokesperson of party.

In a written release issued today the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said on Friday that it has expelled singer/actor turned politician Jassi Jasraj from the party for six years for his anti party activities.

Bathinda, Punjab (May 22, 2014): Singer- cum- actor -turned- politician and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s candidate from Bathinda Lok Sabha seat Jasraj Singh Longia alias Jassi Jasraj has sent a complaint to party president Arvind Kejriwal expressing resentment against the activities of the party's state convener Sumel Singh Sidhu during the election campaigning.

Bathinda, Punjab (May 17, 2014): Singer-actor Jasraj Singh Longia alias Jassi Jasraj ended up at third place in a battle that was totally occupied by contest between Badal clan's heavy weight Harsimrat Badal and family rebel Manpreet Badal, who was contesting election on Congress party's symbol.

Bathinda, Punjab (May 16, 2014): Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) candidate Harsimrat Badal has won Bathinda Lok Sabha seat with 19,395 votes.

Singer-actor Jasraj Singh Longia, better known as Jassi Jasraj, has surprised many by securing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ticket from Bathinda constituency. Former director general of police Shashi Kant and AAP's state convener Sumail Singh were also in the race for the Bathinda ticket.
