Ludhiana: A book based on the life and philosophy of Ranjit Singh Kuki Gill, a prominent figure who became active in the Sikh militant struggle after the June 1984 attack on Darbar Sahib and the November 1984 Sikh genocide, was released recently.

Titled “Ranjit Singh Kuki Gill: Jeevan Atey Falsafa” (Life and Philosophy), the book has been authored by Bibi Sukhdeep Kaur Gill, a member of the politically prominent Talwandi family. Ranjit Singh Kuki Gill is the son of the late Dr. Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana.

The release event was held on July 20, 2025, at Nirvana Club in Ludhiana. The book was formally unveiled in the presence of the author Bibi Sukhdeep Kaur Gill, Ranjit Singh Kuki Gill himself, senior journalist Hamir Singh, former student federation leader Sarbjit Singh Sohal, and retired General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, Vikram Singh Bajwa.

The ceremony began with a welcome address by Ganeev Kaur Gill, daughter of Ranjit Singh Kuki Gill, who greeted the dignitaries and readers in attendance. This was followed by remarks from the author, the subject of the biography, journalist Hamir Singh, and other distinguished guests. The event was moderated by journalist Sukhnaib Sidhu.

Among those present were Surinder Singh Kishanpur; Bibi Amrit Kaur, wife of Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, a close associate of Kuki Gill; Bibi Harbans Kaur, widow of Shaheed Bhai Charanjit Singh Talwandi; Gurminder Singh Samad; Gurpreet Singh from Chandigarh; Teja Singh; Khushhaal Singh of the Central Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Chandigarh; and journalists Sukhwinder Singh and Ratandeep Singh Dhaliwal, along with several other notable personalities.
