Chandigarh: Aam Adami Party leader H S Phoolka on Wednesday  filed a petition with the Punjab and Haryana High Court in which he had accused the Election Commission of India for not following the standard operating procedures and adopting a dilly dally attitude towards the security of the EVM strongrooms of the four assembly constituencies  of Jalandhar district. The allegation against the ECI came up shortly after he himself visited the constituencies on Tuesday.

While accepting the petition filed by Adv H S Phoolka the Punjab & Haryana High Court here today has directed the ECI to strengthen the security of the EVM strongrooms up to three tier security as mentioned in the standard operating procedure (SOP) and further ordered the ECI to consider the those suggestions that are were mentioned by the AAP in its petitioned.
