As per reports a cross section of Assamese thinkers and literary personalities have come out against the inhuman detention camp set up in Assam. In a joint statement, issued yesterday, 31 thinkers, literary personalities, poets, singers and social activists have demanded the immediate closure of the six existing detention camps in the state and stoppage of the construction of the new detention camp proposed at Goalpara in lower Assam.
