Chandigarh: The Sikh Research Institute (SikhRI) has announced a special book conversation on its latest publication, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib: Life, Vision & Wisdom, scheduled to be held on Thursday, 15 January 2026, in Chandigarh. The event invites members of the media and the wider public to engage with a reflective dialogue that goes beyond historical narration to explore the contemporary relevance of the teachings and vision of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib.
The conversation is centered on understanding Guru Gobind Singh Sahib as a living source of courage, ethical leadership, sovereignty, and love—values that continue to resonate strongly in today’s complex social, political, and moral environment. Through shared inquiry and thoughtful discussion, the gathering aims to reflect on what it means to live with dignity, clarity, and responsibility in present times.
The discussion will feature the book’s author, Harinder Singh, Senior Fellow at SikhRI, who will share insights from his work and research. He will be joined by Roopinder Singh, one of Panjab’s literary voices and an author and journalist. The conversation will be hosted by Jasmine Anand, Assistant Professor of English at MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, a scholar and translator who will guide the dialogue and audience interaction.
Together, the speakers will explore the ideas and resonances emerging from the book, creating space for meaningful reflection and exchange with the audience. The event will take place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Randhawa Auditorium, Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16-B, Chandigarh, and will be followed by high tea.
