Faridkot: The Punjab government today denied permission to Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) to hold its’ “pol khol” rally in Faridkot on September 16. The Faridkot administration has cited ‘law and order’ situation’ as the reason to deny the permission.
SAD (B) is holding rallies to distract attention from issues critical to it specially in wake of release of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission’s report.
Sikh political groups and Sikh sangat are opposing SAD (B) rallies as its leaders are indicted by Justice Ranjit Singh Commission in Behbal Kalan firing case. SAD (B) leader have criticised Punjab government’s move alleging political bias.
