Amritsar: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and senior advocate H S Phoolka performed sewa the Darbar Sahib in Amritsar yesterday. He said that he sought forgiveness from the Akal Takht through his sewa for publishing pictures of the Darbar Sahib on the cover of AAP’s youth manifestoes along with the picture of a broom, the party’s poll symbol.

Attacking the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), Phoolka said, “Where were Badals when cabinet minister Bikram Majithia had distorted the ‘shabad’ of 10th Guru and added the name of Arun Jaitley to it? Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal had neither asked Majithia to quit and neither did Majithia offer to resign himself. Why are they asking Kejriwal for resign? SAD (Badal) has nothing to do with the Sikhs. They only raised this issue due to political reasons.”
