SURREY, Canada: The Sevadars of Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar and Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib have jointly issued a written statement announcing a significant upcoming gathering titled “Panthic Seminar: Ground Realities & The Path Forward.” A copy of this written release is available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN).
Scheduled to take place on April 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the seminar will be hosted at the Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijjar Hall within the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib. The event is set to feature two prominent voices within the global Sikh struggle: Bhai Parmjit Singh Mand, President of Dal Khalsa, and Bhai Moninder Singh, Chair of the Sikh Federation (Canada).
According to the official release, the speakers will provide the Sangat with a “deep dive into the critical issues facing the Panth today.” The discussions will primarily focus on delivering a “comprehensive analysis of the current political and Dharmic (religious) climate within Punjab.” Furthermore, the seminar will address the crucial role of the diaspora, specifically examining “how Sikhs living abroad can effectively support and advance the Khalistan Sangarsh (struggle).” Leaders will also outline a strategic vision detailing the “collective steps needed to ensure the sovereignty and betterment of the Guru Panth.”
The organizing Gurdwaras have made a strong, specific appeal to Sikh youth and students to actively participate in the gathering. Emphasizing the importance of generational continuity, the statement notes that “now is the time to bridge the gap between our history and our future.” The seminar is being framed as a vital opportunity for younger Sikhs to “connect with your authentic culture and faith” and to “learn the history of the ongoing struggle directly from those on the front lines.”
Calling upon the local Sikh Sangat for a strong turnout, the organizers framed attendance as an act of service to the community. “Your presence is your contribution to the Panth,” the statement reads. “Please join us for this evening of reflection, education, and unity.”
