On June 2, 2025, a Samagam was held in memory of Bhai Charanjit Singh Talwandi. Speaking at the event, Sikh Siyasat editor Parmjeet Singh Gazi addressed the rapidly changing geopolitical situation in South Asia, particularly the evolving security dynamics between India and Pakistan. He emphasized that Punjab, due to its geostrategic location, and the Sikhs, owing to their political history, are gaining increased relevance and significance in this shifting landscape. However, he noted that the current political leadership of the Sikhs remains preoccupied with limited issues related to the electoral politics of East Punjab. He urged the Sikh community to recognize their broader significance and to position themselves strategically in response to these changing circumstances.
