Ludhiana: As per the media reports the Punjab unit Trinamool Congress (TMC) president Jagmeet Brar today said that he would confine himself to campaigning for party candidates and not contest the elections.
“I have decided not to contest elections. It might have affected the campaign of party candidates,” he said while releasing the third list of the party nominees for the state assembly elections.
When media asked him about candidates for Lambi or Jalalabad constituency he retirated that the TMC had not finalized any name from either of the seats. “If no suitable candidate is found, the TMC will support the candidate of a party except for the SAD and the Congress.”
Furthermore, Brar termed Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh a coward on his plans to contest from Lambi and Patiala.
