New Delhi: It is learnt that the Indian Supreme Court has installed status quo prohibiting premature release of Sikh political prisoner Prof. Devender Pal Singh Bhullar. The SCI has passed this order on a petition moved by Maninderjit Singh Bitta.
Notably, the Indian government had announced to grant premature release to some of Sikh political prisoners, including Prof. Devender Pal Singh Bhullar.
Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur, who maintains the list of Sikh political prisoners, confirmed the information about SCI installing status quo against Prof. Devender Pal Singh Bhullar’s release.
