Amritsar, Punjab (March 12, 2013): Pro-freedom Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Geelani is reportedly facing serious health problems these days. Sikh body Dal Khalsa has expressed solidarity with him and prayed for his speedy recovery.

Dal Khalsa leader Kanwarpal Singh said “News of Geelani Sahib’s not keeping well and falling ill has caused us a worry.”

“Now, we have learned that his health condition is improving slowly, so we hope he would get well soon to lead the freedom movement.”

The Dal Khalsa spokesperson further said: “People in Punjab admire him for his vision and strong determination.

Geelani Sahib symbolizes Kashmir’s freedom movement, however, he has earned respect outside Kashmir also, for which Kashmiris should feel proud.”
