New Delhi: A Canada based Aam Aadmi Party supporter has sent legal notice Gopal Goyal, president/ secretary of AVAM threatening legal against alleged false allegations of donation scam related to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Ms. Jaskirat Kaur Mann, W/o Rajinderpal Singh Mann, who is NRI belonging to VPO Kishanpura, Dist. Moga, Punjab and current resides in Canada, in a legal notice sent through her council S.M. Anis demanded unconditional apology from AVAM.
Ms. Mann is first supporter of AAP who has come forward opening in support of AAP after her name was dragged in the alleged scam.

“My client has learnt that you, an organization functioning under the name of AVAM, has stated that my client has received a donation for Aam Aadmi Party of Canadian Dollars 1000 from M/s Gagan Blueberry Growers Ltd. You have given a copy of this supposed cheque to the media who has shown my client a copy thereof and she has learnt that this cheque shown by you is drawn by Gagan Blueberry Growers Ltd., signed by one Jagman Deep Singh drawn on Royal Bank of Canada dated 15.12.2014” reads the legal notice sent by Ms. Mann’s lawyer to AVAM leader Gopal Goyal.
Ms. Mann stated that it was absolutely false that she ever received or encashed any such cheque or donation.
She also refuted allegations that she had received another donation of 500 dollars for Aam Aadmi Party from Mr. Davindra Samra by cheque dated 20.12.2014.
“It is apparent that you have a personal vendetta against the Aam Aadmi Party, of which my client is a supporter, and are spreading false propaganda and deliberately spreading false information about my client for your personal interests”, Ms. Mann’s lawyer stated in legal notice sent to Gopal Goyal.
“It is well known that the individual signing this alleged cheque, being Jagmandeep Singh, is a vocal and staunch opposer of the Aam Aadmi Party and has organized demonstrations against the Aam Aadmi Party and one of its leaders, Sh. Bhagwant Mann in Canada. In furtherance of your vested interests, you and this individual, Sh. Jagmandeep Singh, has in concert with each other hatched a conspiracy to defame my client”, the legal notice reads further, a copy of which is also available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN).
Ms. Mann has demanded that Gopal Goyal should convene a press conference and retract and withdraw his statements against her besides tendering unconditional apology.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been facing allegations of donations fraud for past few days. AAP leaders have strongly refuted the allegations. AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal has challenged BJP government to arrest him if allegations of donations fraud were true against him.
