Amritsar: Sikh political prisoner Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar returned to jail today as his 21 days parole was over. Prof. Bhullar was released on parole on April 23.
Prof. Bhullar is admitted at psychiatry ward of Guru Nanak Hospital in Amritsar.
Talking to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Prof. Bhullar’s wife Bibi Navnit Kaur said it was first parole of Prof. Bhullar since his arrest 21 years ago.
“As the sentence was converted to imprisonment for life, it was our legal right to claim parole. Parole is granted to those serving imprisonment for life. We had applied for the parole and it was granted only after completing all legal processes”, he added.
