Moga/Amritsar (June 03, 2014): Challenging both ruling and opposition Shiromani Akali Dal Badal and Congress at their home turf Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal announced to contest next Punjab assembly elections 2017.
Much confident with the recent surprising show in the recent Lok Sabha elections, Kejriwal claimed that AAP would form next government in Punjab. During his first visit after LS results, Kejriwal visited Darbar Sahib, Jillianwala Bagh and Durgiana Mandir in Amritsar on Tuesday (June 03).

“We had neither money nor resources to contest elections but we did well in Punjab by winning 4 seats. We lead at 33 assembly segments and remained second at 25 seats. It was Aam Aadi who voted for themselves”, said Kejriwal while talking to media persons in the premises of Jallianwala Bagh.
“Badals pleaded many a times to Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders to get berth for Harsimrat Badal in the national cabinet. It shows their mind sets”, he lashed out at Badal family.
On the question of allegations of naxalite background of two of AAP MPs and another question of various statements made by Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, Kejriwal remained silent.
