Hoshiarpur (August 20, 2012): Extending greetings, the Dal Khalsa has wished good fortunes and prosperity to the Muslim people on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.
Calling upon to people of Punjab and Kashmir to celebrate this festival collectively in the true spirit of brotherhood, Dal Khalsa head H S Dhami wished that celebrations would inspire people to strengthen mutual goodwill.
Slamming the J&K government, he said instead of releasing the detained youth as goodwill gesture to mark the sacred occasion, the Omar Abdullah government has put Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and JKLF chief Yasin Malik under house arrest to prevent them from discharging their religious obligations. He said by doing so the government has curbed the religious rights of Geelani and Malik.
